The purpose of establishment of our NPO

The purpose of establishment of our NPO is to support underprivileged people in southeastern Asian countries through financial and mental support in the area. And also, we want to support the people in the area by coaching and training technical skill of Japanese for the development of the society in the area.

As you know, many NPO are executing support activity such as monetary support, educational support and medical support in southeastern Asian aountries. But, there remains some doubt about real improvement of life is happening or not. After a temporary support, life of the underprivileged people goes back to original condition. So, we believe that we should covey a support which will elevate a standard of living of southeastern Asian countries not a just handing over money and food.
This kind of support will work to minimize a gap between rich and poor in a long run.

So, we will put an short time and long time effort on education and support for elevating a level of agriculture, forestry and fishery industries. For example, Philippine is a country which people live mainly on rice but Philippine is a biggest importer of rice in the world now. Due to warm weather, they can grow the rice twice or three time a year but the amount of rice production is still low in Philippine.

Key reason for it is that the money to be spent on rice nursery or seed has been spent for living expenses. It is said that annual income in rural area is around 80 thousands peso to hundred and twenty thousands pesos ( roughly 1,200 dollars to 2,200 dollars ) and the total income of firmer is quite low even though they have worked long hours. For your record, the cost of 1 kg of rice is 24 pesos to 55 pesos. We were surprised when we heard about the income of farmers and off course there is no support for rice farmers like Japan We believe that improvement of skill of rice farmers will result in less import of rice and it will lead into improvement of living standard. Our NPO wants to send a instructor of agricultural techniques to Philippines and let them instruct and coach local farmers . At the same time, we want to invite Philippine farmers to Japan to learn and experience latest agricultural techniques for them to bring back it and contribute to improve productivity of rice. When I first went to Leyte Island for sightseeing , I met an street children over there And found out the terrible standard of living and that experience made me start thinking about the support we can from Japan. So, the first support was to build an orphanage with local people’s cooperation. There are many children without any family register and I continued support with local government cooperation but there were a limit since it has been a personal support. Even though, I had continued it since I could not stop it when I thought about children. But , finally I had to close an orphanage since my personal fund bottomed out.

So, that experience made me start this NPO to act as a group to support local people by having a support from many kind people by acknowledging the status of the fields in southeastern Asian countries.

We sincerely hope that we can continue to support the people in southeastern Asian countries as a NPO by taking their circumstances into account.
