ISPSR TESTIMONIALS

Some sample testimonials on ISPSR are given below:

Since many years, PSR is a perfectly established, basic science oriented, research meeting for pediatric surgeons interested in and committed to gain insight into relevant pathologies and devise potential new therapies, especially from a cell and molecular biology standpoint. A PSR meeting is one of the few opportunities, especially for young investigators, to live those particularly fruitful moments when burning clinical questions and the struggle for contributive answers amalgamate. These aspects and the fabulous mix of people create a truly attractive ambiance, worth joining! - Prof. Martin Meuli

I have had the privilege and honor to be a member of the Pediatric Surgery Research Committee since its early beginnings. The concept of the meeting was to provide a forum in which young pediatric surgeons could present their basic research data. The meeting was organized to be an international one by being hosted in various pediatric surgical centers around the world. The quality of the papers presented has markedly improved over the past 23 years, presently rivaling the best basic science papers presented in any of the other pediatric surgical meetings. I look forward to the upcoming meeting in Tokyo, which I anticipate will meet and even surpass the previous meetings. - Arnold G. Coran, MD

I have the privilege to be am member of the PSR Group since 1992, when I organized the first Research Congress in Innbruck (Austria). On the occasion of this Congress the Committee was founded and Prof. Prem Puri was elected as chairman. Over the years, the PSR Congress turned out to be an excellent forum for young colleagues from all over the world to present basic research results. The best presentations are awarded with the Aesculap today, and previously with the Novartis prize. Furthermore, the Journal Paediatric Surgery International has accepted to publish peer reviewed manuscripts of the best annual Congress presentations. Thus, the PSR Congresses became over the year’s one of the best paediatric surgical research meetings in the world, and it is a privilege to be a member of the Committee. The next Congress in Japan, organized by Prof. Yamataka, will certainly be another and new highlight in the long history of PSR-Congresses and I am looking forward to a great meeting of researchers in the field of paediatric surgery in Tokyo. - Michael E.Höllwarth
