GENERAL INFORMATION

Registration Process:

Registration desk will be open as follows:
  • September 12th, Sunday: 14:30 – 19:30 at Hilltop Hotel Annex Building
  • September 13th, Monday: 07:00 – 17:30 at Tokyo Garden Palace
  • September 14th, Tuesday: 07:00 – 12.00 at Tokyo Garden Palace

For those that have already registered online:

Please bring the 2 following documents to the registration desk:

1. Confirmation/Receipt of Payment for Registration detailing your invoice number.

2. Confirmation/Receipt of Payment for Hotel Accommodation (if needed).


On-site registration:

Please settle your entire registration fee at the Registration desk.
  • Participant*: ¥45,000
  • Accompanying Person**: ¥20,000

Payment by Credit card or in Japanese Yen will be acceptable at the Registration counter desk.

Name Badges:

Delegates and guests are required to wear their name badges during the congress at all times.

Congress Bag:

All Registered delegates will receive their name badges and their congress bags.
Congress bags will contain various useful information that can be used during the time of the XXIII ISPSR.

Oral Presentation

  • All presenters for both oral & poster presentation must be registered as delegates. Early registration prices for the XXIII ISPSR of 35,000 Yen for participants and 12,000 Yen for accompanying persons have been extended to August 20th 2010. Please register online and find all relevant registration information at:

  • Only the Congress’ Windows PC COMPUTERS and APPLE MACINTOSH COMPUTERS are allowed to be used. You MAY NOT supply your own laptop computer for use.
  • Please note that the Congress’ computers in the session halls are being supplied with Windows XP/Vista & Office XP, and Power Point 2003 or 2007 (Windows version), and Power Point 2004 or 2008 (Apple Macintosh version).
  • If combining video/movie files with PowerPoint, please make sure that it is compatible and runs with PowerPoint. Please note that special character fonts will not work properly so we ask that you use only the basic character fonts that are found in PowerPoint. It is the speaker’s responsibility to check everything runs smoothly at the Speakers’ Ready Room.
  • If your PowerPoint presentation contains other data files that are embedded within it, such as pictures, movie files, graphics etc, then please bring and have a copy of these original files with you.
  • You will be required to check in at the speaker ready room to upload your presentations at least three hours before your session. Please bring your presentation on a CD/DVD or on a "disk on key", using the USB port in the computer and load it on one of the congress' computers in the Speakers' Ready Room. A technician will help you to upload your presentation.
  • First or second session presenters are advised to load the previous day at the time of registration to ensure that there are no technical problems with your presentation.
  • Presenters will have 6 minutes presentation and 3 minutes discussion in Long-oral presentations (Only presenters in Session 1 – Aesculap Prize Session, will have 6 minutes presentation and 4 minutes discussion) and 3 minutes presentation and 2 discussion in Short-oral presentations as indicated in the program. No time extension will be permitted.

Speaker Ready Room

Speaker ready room will be open and available only at the following times:
  • September 12th, Sunday: 14:30 – 19:30 at Hilltop Hotel Annex Building*
  • September 13th, Monday: 07:00 – 15:00 at Tokyo Garden Palace
  • September 14th, Tuesday: 07:00 – 15.00 at Tokyo Garden Palace

*If you are in the first or second session of the morning on the 13th, you are advised to check in at the speaker ready room to upload your presentations when you make your registration to ensure that there are no technical problems with your presentation for the next day.


Posters:

  • For Poster presenters your posters should be mounted by 10:00 on the September 13th and should not be taken down before 13:00 on the 14th September.
  • Posters should be mounted on the board that has their Poster Abstract Number.
  • Posters must be within the following dimensions: height 150cm, width 90cm.
  • Your poster can be attached to the poster board by thumbtacks (drawing pins). These will be provided at the poster room.
  • The poster walk will take place from 1pm-2pm on Monday 13th September, and Tuesday 14th September, respectively. You should be beside your poster during this session.  Delegates will be brought to your poster by the moderators and you will have one minute for presenting your poster, with two minutes for discussion before delegates are moved to the next poster.
  • Posters that have not been removed by the end of the congress will be disposed of by the organizers.

Manuscript Submission:

  • All poster and oral presenters which are included in the scientific programme can submit a manuscript for EQUAL consideration in the Congress edition of Paediatric Surgery International. Guidelines for submission can be found at the Paediatric Surgery International page, but the deadline for manuscript submission is August 31st 2010.

Registration Fee:

Before August 20th: ¥35,000 (participant*), ¥12,000 (accompanying person**)
From August 21st***: ¥40,000 (participant*), ¥15,000 (accompanying person**)
On-site Participant: ¥45,000 (participant*), ¥20,000 (accompanying person**)
